Playbook Series Inc. is Growing 1% per Day

As a coach recruits for his/her program, it is not only talent they are searching for; attitude and passion are everything. Most coaches are looking to recruit teammates who can not only fit into the system, but thrive in the system. We are on a mission here at Playbook Series Inc. to build an army of a staff who is passionate about the development of our scholar athletes, and excited to accelerate their progress. Having a well-rounded view of the opportunities and resources that are available around the world are important, but having teammates in place to take advantage of those opportunities and resources are even more important.

Diversity is the face of our organization, and as we look to expand in the community, we would like the scholar athletes we service, as well as their families, to find relatable representation on our team. We are beyond excited for the newest additions to the team, as they will provide several years of experience to the team and bridge the gap between Playbook Series Inc. and our target market.

Lori King | Development & Communications Specialist

Lori King and Elizabeth Douglas are the newest team members on the Development & Communications team as well as the Global Partnerships Team!

Lori King (Aptos, CA) is an amazingly kind hearted woman who was recently brought aboard the team to help secure fiscal funding as well as expand our brand and mission across the country. With a great deal of experience, Lori will lead our development and communications team in establishing effective methods to connect and communicate our mission to the world.

To have a wide range of experience is important in this mission, which is why we were happy to know that Lori is an experienced executive in corporate, small business, start-ups, and not-for-profit. She carries a level of expertise is the areas of marketing, business development, fundraising, communication, and social media engagement. When asked to speak about her experiences until this point in her career, Lori stated that her favorite projects include program launches, nationally recognized leadership and business programs. Furthermore, she has contributed and managed high profile events and marketing campaigns for large and small businesses. These are all valuable skills that we appreciate and find value in. We at Playbook Series Inc. look forward to helping Lori utilize her skillset here.

Elizabeth “Liz” Douglas | Grant Writer / Leader for Global Partnerships & Major Gifts

Furthermore, Elizabeth Douglas (Alameda, CA) is a firecracker edition to the squad! Not only is Elizabeth “Liz” Douglas a very ambitious and motivated young woman, she is highly accomplished and a decorated leader with a humanistic approach to management and relationship building. During her 15+ year career, she both expanded businesses in the global market and developed recurring revenue streams (in the billions) with key partners. Furthermore, Liz is a such a passionate individual as it relates to her work that she has compiled mission briefs for companies such as Saildrone when there was no marketing department available to support her.

Securing funding is another strength of hers; Liz has secured grant funding from impact investors Peak6 Investments to support the ATL2MED mission as well as secured grant funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in support of their vaccine initiatives for refugees in Afghanistan. When asked about her excitement in regards to Playbook Series mission and what we’re all about, Liz stated, “I am honored that you would like me to be apart of this wonderful initiative! I am so delighted, honored, and grateful to be apart of Playbook Series Inc.!”

Next Steps with Playbook Series Inc.

The best additions to the Playbook Series Inc. team have come by way of individuals who are more concerned with the heart work as opposed to how hard the work is. Both Elizabeth and Lori stand to make a major impact for our organization as they have both worked in the non-profit sector in previous years. We are looking to gain strategic partnerships across seas and secure funding from grants, private investors, corporate investors and banks. With the experience of our developing team, Playbook Series Inc. is set to do exactly this. Leadership development is something we pride ourselves on from the perspective of helping our student athletes become leaders, as well as bringing aboard individuals with amazing leadership qualities. As we continue to build our all-star team, we thank individuals such as Lori and Liz for being willing and able to service our youth.
