Stephisha is a Regional Vice President with Primerica Financial Services and has been contracted with the company since 2013. She also holds appointments with Legg Mason, Franklin Templeton, Voya, AXA, Invesco, Fidelity and several other firms. She has led over 40 individuals across the country in obtaining a life insurance license through their state’s department of insurance (DOI), and she has also mentored 5 of those individuals in obtaining securities licenses with FINRA.
Stephisha believes the entire point of setting goals, mentoring someone else to set goals, and working hard to accomplish those goals is to reach a personal level of greatness. By doing that, we bless others! Most of us have a hard time setting one single goal and sticking to it because we lose patience, or we simply don’t have enough vision to foresee the benefits of continuing through with our initial plans.
Stephisha is the 7th Regional Vice President to emerge from the Breadwinner Hierarchy. This step allowed Stephisha the opportunity to now open her own branch of Primerica Financial Services while training other young entrepreneurs to do the same.
Current Licenses
Mrs. Ycoy-Walton is currently a holder of a life insurance license through the California Department of Insurance (DOI) and she also holds a Series 6 and Series 63 designation (FINRA) to be able to service clients with their long term, short term, and emergency savings goals. At the moment, Stephisha services over 300 clients and is looking to continue making a positive impact on her community by completing the licensing requirements for her Series 26 and series 65 designations which will make her a Supervisor of Investments as well as a Personal Financial Advisor.
The Game Plan
The advantage of holding these licenses are that you not only have the opportunity to sit kneecap-to-kneecap with a family and educate them about money management tools, but you also get to implement the game plan for them. You will be able to complete an FNA (Financial Needs Analysis) for the family which gives them a snapshot of their current financial situation! This is amazing because after that, you can now implement life insurance as a foundation of protection, emergency savings which should be built to 3x-6x the client’s monthly budget, and you can finally discuss topics such as college savings and retirement accounts (Roth & Traditional IRA’s, 401K, 457, 403B, etc.). These are the tools our community needs access to in order to become financially independent and debt free!
Licensing Process
Outside of the financial planning services that her firm provides for the general community, as a Regional Vice President (RVP), Stephisha has been given the freedom to sponsor, recruit, train, and retain any individual who is excited and eligible to get licensed through their residential state. Candidate must be able to pass a felony background check and be willing to complete 32 state-mandated hours (online or in class). The process typically takes 2 weeks to obtain a life insurance license with an additional week to go “OFB” (open for business). Within 60 days of completing the licensing requirements for the life insurance license, a candidate can also be done with the requirements needed to obtain the Series 6 and 63 designations.
Primerica is very serious about who they appoint to the firm, and as a result, so is Stephisha. Although the Primerica opportunity can be for anyone, timing and opportunity must align.
